If you want to print a product, you must have 3D printer alone. You also need printing materials. I believe you all know that every 3D printer has its corresponding material, and industrial 3D printer is no exception. Today, I will talk about the common materials of this kind of machine.

    1. 3D printing polymer materials

It is widely used in industrial 3D printers, which is polymer acrylonitrile. Although 3D materials gradually migrate to metal materials, polymer will still be regarded as the core material of the market in a certain period of time. There is no doubt about it.

    2. Metal materials

This metal material is more widely used in dentists and other medical industries, mainly titanium, aluminum, chromium, cobalt, etc. according to the income calculation, the market share is less than 30%. Aviation will be the main driving force for the increase in the use of metal materials.

    3. Engineering plastics

Perhaps we are not clear about this. By engineering plastics, we mean industrial plastics used as industrial parts or shell materials. They have the advantages of high strength, impact resistance, heat resistance, high hardness and aging resistance. The conventional deformation temperature can exceed 90 ℃, which can be used for machining, painting and electroplating. In fact, engineering plastic is a kind of 3D printing material widely used today. Commonly used are acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer (ABS), polyamide (PA), polycarbonate (PC), polyphenylsulfone (ppsf), polyether ether ketone (PEEK), etc.

    Four. Polymer Gel

Polymer gel has excellent intelligence and plays an important role in our industrial 3D printer. Alginate, cellulose, animal and vegetable gum, peptone, polyacrylic acid and other polymer gel materials are used for 3D printing. After polymerization at the relative temperature and initiator and crosslinking agent, they produce unique network structure polymer gel products. If the ionic strength, temperature, electric field and chemical substances change, the volume of the gel will also change relative to the shape memory material. Gel swells or shrinks to produce volume changes for sensing materials. The controllability of gel mesh can be used as an intelligent drug release material.

    5. Biomaterials

Some future 3D printing biomaterials include hot chrome PLA, nylon 11, flexible PLA or soft PLA, bio rubber, straw based and bamboo based biomaterials, and laybrick. The results show that the color of hot chrome polylactic acid filament changes with temperature; flexible PLA or soft PLA and nylon 11 have high flexibility; straw based and bamboo based biomaterials have the advantage of cost saving.

    6. Ceramic materials

Ceramic materials are also indispensable in industrial 3D printer materials. They have some outstanding characteristics such as high strength, high hardness, high temperature resistance, low density, good chemical reliability and corrosion resistance, which are widely used in aerospace, automobile, biological and other industries. In fact, due to the hard and brittle characteristics of ceramic materials, it is particularly difficult to process and form ceramic materials, especially complex ceramic parts need to be formed through dies. Mold processing cost is high, development cycle is long, it is difficult to meet the needs of continuous innovation of products, we firmly believe that it will be solved in the near future.
