The motor is a key component to provide working power for 3D printer. Because the x-axis, Y-axis and z-axis of 3D printer work differently, the motors used are also different. If an inappropriate stepping motor is selected for the 3D printer, its printing work will be greatly affected. So, how to replace and install the motor?
Different types of machines may have different motor installation positions, but the replacement methods are almost the same (this method is applicable to all FDM types of machines).
1. Part of the motor is connected to the synchronous belt. First, we need to remove the corresponding parts of the fixed synchronous belt (the figure below is the reference figure of CR-10 machine).
2. Take down the corresponding motor to be replaced. Generally, the motor connected with the synchronous belt will have a synchronous wheel fixed on the motor. Take down the synchronous wheel and replace it on the new motor (the interval between the synchronous wheel and the motor is about 1mm). Then install the motor again.
3. After the above steps are completed, the synchronous belt of the motor connected with the synchronous belt needs to be installed and debugged (the corresponding accessories can be slid back and forth to check whether the synchronous belt is debugged). The whole replacement process is completed after this step.
