    1. The accuracy of 3D printing machine itself

    When purchasing a 3D printer, we must first understand the printing accuracy of the machine, the manufacturing and assembly accuracy of the 3D printing machine and the vibration during operation will affect the 3D printing accuracy. The accuracy of 3D printer depends on whether the moving part of the mechanical part is accurate and reasonable.

    2. Nozzle diameter

    The diameter of the nozzle also determines the width of the extruded wire, which affects the accuracy of the finished product. As we all know, 3D printing constructs objects by stacking them. Therefore, the layer thickness setting also affects the roughness of the finished product: if a large diameter nozzle is used, the thickness of the layer will be thicker. Although its 3D printing speed is faster, the finished product will be rougher; on the contrary, if a small diameter nozzle is used, the 3D printing process time will increase, but the finished product will be more refined. Generally, the nozzle diameter is only 0.2mm, 0.3mm or 0.4mm. The reason why it can't be smaller is due to the flow property of non-Newtonian fluid of consumables. Too small diameter will lead to too large flow resistance.

    3. Consumable type

    3D printer uses different types of materials or the same material quality is different, and the final model glossiness is also very different. Users can only use the most appropriate materials to make your 3D printer print the most perfect model.

    4. Nozzle temperature

    The nozzle temperature determines the adhesion, stacking, wire flow and extrusion linewidth of the material. Therefore, the nozzle temperature should not be too low or too high. If it is too low, the viscosity of the material will increase and the extrusion speed will be slow; if it is too high, the material will be liquid, the viscosity coefficient will be reduced, the fluidity will be enhanced, and the extrusion will be too fast to form accurate and controllable filament. Therefore, when the temperature of the nozzle is set, it should be selected in a certain range according to the characteristics of the selected wire to ensure that the extruded wire is in the molten flow state.

    5. Delamination thickness

    The layer thickness here is also the layer thickness / layer height when slicing. Because each layer has a certain thickness, there will be obvious step lines on the solid surface after forming (the higher the layer thickness is, the more obvious), which will directly affect the size error and surface roughness of the solid after forming. For FDM process, this is a kind of principle error, it is impossible to completely eliminate steps, and intelligence can reduce step effect by setting a smaller layer thickness.
